ABOUT HCA ATHLETICS
The purpose of the Heritage Christian Academy Athletic Program is to use the tool of athletic competition to encourage students in developing a Christ-like attitude and lifestyle. With the expectation that our student athletes will exhibit Christian character on and off campus, we desire for their athletic participation to teach them the value of team effort above self-glorification. The success of our program must be measured by the quality of the young people that we produce and not just our win-loss record. Every team that plays, plays to win; however, winning is not our primary goal. It is our goal to use sports for the glory of God and, in doing so, to train student athletes with the proper perspective on these great activities.

COMPETITIVE TEAMS
HCA is a member of the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA). HCA Athletics is sanctioned and governed by the AISA for grades 7 through 12. Below is a list of AISA sanctioned sports that are available to HCA student athletes at the Varsity and Junior High levels. HCA offers specific sports based on interest and availability of resources.
2024 Fall Sports:
Volleyball (Girls), Cross Country (Boys/Girls), Football (Boys), Cheer (Girls)
2024-25 Winter Sports:
Basketball (Boys/Girls), Cheer (Girls)
2025 Spring Sports:
Baseball (Boys), Softball (Girls), Golf(Boys/Girls)
Additional AISA sanctioned sports could become available based on interest and available resources (Track, Soccer, Tennis)

HCA Athletics also offers Club Sports, providing HCA students the opportunity to find community while competing in the sports they love. These teams are not AISA affiliated. Below is a current list of club sports offered:
